Basic Function:

  • Responsible for overseeing the administration, management and maintenance of computer network systems and data circuits.
  • Responsible for installs, upgrades and monitoring network performance.
  • Develops and documents system standards for computer and network devices.
  • Responsible for recommending and scheduling repairs to the LAN/WAN.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Uses network analysis tools to help troubleshoot network performance problems.
  • Perform administrator tasks for the team.
  • Understand, explain, and assist with adherence of internal policy as it pertains to the group and user/customer base.
  • Maintain software license compliance and adhere to company policies and manage Microsoft Active Directory user permissions.
  • Perform light programming/scripting to automate tasks, analyze system logs to identify potential issues.
  • Responsible for administration, setup, and ongoing configuration of networking systems and equipment to include servers, routers/switches, firewalls, wireless AP’s and SDWAN. 
  • Participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all systems & network hardware/software, and communication links. 
  • Ensure stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, and wireless network services by continually monitoring systems with various networking tools. 
  • Troubleshoot network issues with other team members within the IT department and with vendors. Document changes within the scope of the network & systems. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills. 
  • Prior experience supporting, implementing and/or administering networks such as Microsoft Windows Active Directory.

  • Coordination.
  • Extensive methods and techniques used in trouble shooting various hardware and software application problems.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, environment; with the ability to adapt and change priorities as the business needs change.

Education and Experience:

  • Extensive hardware and software knowledge and hands on experience to perform the responsibilities of this position. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field, or 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT.
