Job description

We are looking for a Network Engineer to support a distributed branch environment and strengthen network operations across multiple sites. This Long-term Contract position focuses on improving connectivity, maintaining secure network performance, and contributing to infrastructure work that supports offices, operational sites, and core business locations. The role is well suited for someone who brings strong Fortinet expertise along with broader enterprise networking experience in complex, multi-site environments.


Responsibilities:

• Manage and enhance network infrastructure serving branch locations, operational facilities, and primary business sites to ensure reliable performance and connectivity.

• Lead network redesign efforts within existing buildings, including the planning and implementation of updated switching, routing, and firewall solutions.

• Support voice-related infrastructure initiatives by partnering with the network team on projects that affect connectivity and service delivery.

• Administer Fortinet environments, including firewalls and FortiManager, to maintain security standards, policy consistency, and operational visibility.

• Troubleshoot network issues across enterprise environments, resolving problems involving switches, routers, access points, and datacenter connectivity.

• Configure and support Cisco-based networking components in areas such as routing, switching, and datacenter infrastructure.

• Monitor network health and recommend improvements that increase stability, scalability, and security across a large multi-location environment

• Proven hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls is required.
• Strong working knowledge of FortiManager for centralized network and firewall administration.
• Background supporting Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, and enterprise routing environments.
• Experience working in large-scale organizations with multiple branches, stores, or distributed sites is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with firewall platforms and network security concepts in production environments.
• Understanding of routing protocols and core networking principles, including BGP, switching, and access layer design.
• Ability to support infrastructure across headquarters, operational locations, datacenters, and branch offices.
