Job description

  • Supporting a mission critical Enterprise Naval Network onsite in North Charleston, SC
  • Providing enterprise network engineering, troubleshooting, and sustainment support for DoD network environments, with emphasis on Cisco infrastructure and Naval network operations
  • Performing configuration analysis, change implementation, technical documentation, incident resolution, and modernization support across routing, switching, transport, VPN, and enclave connectivity environments
  • Requiring strong technical judgment, disciplined execution, and effective coordination with government customers, cybersecurity teams, operations personnel, and engineering stakeholders

  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required at start, ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline
  • Eight or more years of experience supporting Naval networks in a C4I or similar environment
    • Relevant Marine Corps network experience may be considered
  • Significant experience supporting enterprise network environments, preferably in mission critical DoD or government operational settings
  • Hands on experience with Cisco network infrastructure, including routing, switching, configuration, troubleshooting, and sustainment
  • Experience with advanced routing and enterprise network technologies such as BGP, OSPF, IS IS, MPLS, Segment Routing, EVPN/VXLAN, QoS, VPN, and high availability network architectures
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements, STIG implementation, vulnerability remediation, RMF support, and operational compliance processes
  • Experience supporting network operations, incident troubleshooting, change implementation, configuration management, and technical documentation
  • Ability to work onsite in North Charleston, SC
  • Ability to travel up to 10 percent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues, risks, and recommendations to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Ability to qualify for CSWF / DoD 8140 IAT Level II. Security+ CE or equivalent IAT II certification is required as a minimum

  • Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, or other relevant Cisco professional certifications
  • Experience supporting Navy C4I, Fleet communications, tactical networks, shore side network infrastructure, or similar Naval operational environments
  • Experience with TACLANE devices, COMSEC controlled network equipment, or secure Type 1 encryption environments
  • Experience with SD WAN, network automation, configuration automation, scripting, orchestration, or other tools used to improve network deployment, monitoring, and sustainment
  • Experience with Cisco firewalls, Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA Center, network monitoring platforms, and secure network access control
  • Experience with Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or other network security and transport technologies used in mixed vendor enterprise environments
  • Experience supporting NIPR, SIPR, coalition, or multi enclave network environments
  • Experience developing network diagrams, configuration guides, deployment plans, site survey documentation, implementation plans, and sustainment handoff materials
  • Experience supporting formal change control, maintenance windows, installation readiness reviews, test events, and post implementation validation (PITCO, SOVT, Engineering Design Reviews, etc)
  • Ability to work independently as a senior technical contributor while coordinating effectively across engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and customer teams
