In this pivotal role, you will champion the reliability, security, and performance of the existing enterprise network while directly shaping the architecture and rollout of next-generation infrastructure.

This full-time position operates on a hybrid schedule in Mount Pleasant, SC, requiring a seamless daily commute and occasional travel as you expand your domain expertise.

What You’ll Do
  • Architect & Deploy: Engineer, build, and optimize robust enterprise communication networks across local and multi-site environments.

  • Safeguard Infrastructure: Establish rigorous network standards, enforce access control policies, and continuously monitor systems to maintain peak availability and operational integrity.

  • Administer Security Environments: Manage and tune enterprise firewall platforms in strict alignment with corporate IT security frameworks.

  • Configure Core Systems: Drive hands-on setup and management of routing and switching hardware, VPNs, and cloud interconnectivity.

  • Collaborate & Support: Deliver advanced escalation support to Network Operations Center (NOC) teams, on-site personnel, and third-party vendors during outsourced infrastructure engagements.

  • Drive Quality & Resolution: Perform systematic root-cause analysis during system incidents, manage service requests, and introduce standardized quality assurance methodologies across project lifecycles.

What You Bring
  • Core Technical Expertise: Extensive practical skill operating Firewalls, Content Filters, Routers, Switches, VLANs, and Wireless 802.11 Protocols.

  • Cloud Infrastructure Proficiency: Deep operational familiarity with Microsoft Azure, VNet Architecture, Network Security Groups (NSGs), User Defined Routes (UDRs), Azure Firewalls, VPN Connectivity, VNet Peering, Hub-Spoke Topologies, and Azure Monitor.

  • Specialized Hardware & Security Systems: Demonstrated mastery of Fortinet Firewalls (or equivalent platforms) and NetScaler Load Balancers.

  • Networking Protocols & Foundations: Comprehensive fluency in TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, BGP, SD-WAN, NAT Devices, DHCP Servers, Proxies, and Reverse Proxies.

  • Incident & Systems Management: Proven record of leveraging Incident Management Protocols, Service Request Frameworks, Root Cause Analysis Methods, Public DNS Zones, Global Server Load Balancing, and Network Monitoring Systems.

  • Certifications & Education: Professional credentials such as CCNA, CCNP, Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist, or Juniper JNCIA are highly desirable. Candidates should hold an Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, or equivalent industry experience.

  • Professional Competencies: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, proven capacity to multitask under deadline pressure, and a dedicated focus on technical customer service.
