Job description

The group you'll be a part of The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes. The impact you'll make As a Regional Product Support Engineer at Lam, you serve as the backbone of technical support for field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel in the Phoenix, AZ region.

Your expertise is essential in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex electromechanical equipment, computer systems, software, and networked or wireless systems. Your ability to respond swiftly and effectively is critical to resolving issues and ensuring the satisfaction of Lam's valued customers. What you'll do Provides support to customers and users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.

Develops customer confidence through credible recommendations and an understanding of the customer's perspective to support sales, service, and revenue. Participates in Lam's worldwide technical community and actively shares knowledge while taking a leadership role to enhance global learning and its application. Acts as a technical mentor for field and account engineers and may design or conduct training sessions.

Actively participates in platform field escalations, serving as primary support for Dextro and secondary support for Lam platforms across Etch, Deposition, and Clean products. Wafer handling and robotics experience is required. Acquires and applies engineering theories, methods, and research techniques in the investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical problems.

Designs and conducts welldefined experiments and tests related to the development of new methods, processes, hardware, standards, or modifications to existing materials, components, software, or process specifications. Owns corrective actions and follows through to ensure proper release and handoff of solutions to Technical Services and Field Process/Field Service organizations. Demonstrates a highly quantitative approach and the ability to clearly articulate plans, findings, collected data, and progress updates to Lam's customers on a regular basis.

Who we're looking for Requires a minimum of five years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or three years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with no prior experience; or equivalent work experience. Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or equivalent; Master's degree or PhD is a plus. Five or more years of semiconductor equipment experience.

Knowledge of programming in C++ and Python. Mechatronics and robotics experience. Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
