Job Summary:
InterSources Inc is a Certified Diverse Supplier founded in 2007, offering innovative solutions for Digital Transformations across various domains. They are seeking a Network Support Engineer to perform operational support of network infrastructure and provide 3rd level support for all network devices while working closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative network solutions.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Perform operational support of the company's network infrastructure, including Palo Alto CloudGenix and Prisma tunnels.
โ€ข Provides 3rd level support for all network (LAN, WAN, network security, and load balancer) devices.
โ€ข Simplify, Secure, Standardize, Automate, and develop Self Service throughout the Network Services portfolio.
โ€ข Will be responsible for several different sites having SD-WAN installed across the regions.
โ€ข Will be involved in all aspects of the deployed technologies, including testing, securing and support.
โ€ข Will be working as a part of the Network Operations Team to educate and train staff on network technologies.
โ€ข Work with business areas, vendors and other system professionals to identify, design and implement innovative network solutions.
โ€ข Evaluating and make recommendations for products that support the network Infrastructure.
โ€ข Participate in workflow and policy improvements.
โ€ข Support engineering and sustaining engineering projects as the Network Services representative.
โ€ข Establish the networking environment by designing networking configurations, participating with installations, and defining, documenting, and enforcing network standards.
โ€ข Develop and maintain network topology, solution, and application-flow diagrams.
โ€ข Assist Network Operations maximizing network performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages.
โ€ข Secure network systems by implementing security controls and establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
โ€ข Working with Network Operations, select and implement network and network security tools along with network standard operating procedures.
โ€ข Review monitoring tool platforms, audit for accuracy, and take necessary actions when alerts are generated.
โ€ข Provides on-call 24x7 support when required.
โ€ข Assist with preparing Statement of Work documents and seeking vendor input.
โ€ข Supporting acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
โ€ข Work with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative solutions that meets the needs of our customers.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Palo Alto CloudGenix Certified/Trained.
โ€ข UG - B. BS/MS in Computer Engineering or RELATIVE Working Experience
โ€ข At least 8 years' experience managing high availability network solutions
โ€ข Knowledge of Palo Alto Prisma and CloudGenix
โ€ข Knowledge of Firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA)
โ€ข Technical Knowledge of Routing (BGP, OSPF)
โ€ข Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse and distributed product teams in an agile environment
โ€ข Expected to be hands on and up to date with the latest technology stack.
