This position is based on site in EAST HARTFORD, CT

Hiring Requirements

The client is in a controlled goods program environment and must comply with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which mandates that all applicants be U.S. Citizens.

Essential Job Functions

Leads and coordinates the maintenance of complex network hardware and systems; investigates and resolves complex network and hardware matters of significance; researches, analyzes, isolates and resolves errors; assesses and evaluates current and future systems.

Provides technical support and guidance on network design issues.

Provides problem resolution of complex problems to less experienced personnel.

Designs appropriate testing routines or scripts; may conduct more complex testing to meet specified requirements.

Designs, implements, and maintains complex LAN and WLAN systems in accordance with specified requirements.

Analyzes data network documentation and assists in communicating to management regarding the current operational status of networks.

Provides consultation, support, and guidance to organizations and clients. May develop and conduct training as needed or appropriate.

Participates in discussions regarding project decisions and project direction.

Manages client expectations, and balances the needs of organization and client, to ensure satisfaction for all relevant parties.

Prepares documentation and information in accordance with customer requirements.

Performs vendor comparisons to ensure selected product provides efficient operations.

May provide leadership and/or work guidance to less experienced personnel.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred

5+ years of experience in LAN/WLAN networks (Hands-On)

Cisco Systems experience preferred

- Switching (switching layer 2 and 3)

TCP/UDP IP Protocol

ServiceNow experience preferred

- Request management

Experience working with network systems, networking principles

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $73,400 - $136,300.

Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
