Job description

SUMMARY:

The Public Relations Manager is responsible for leading SeneGence’s global communication strategies and protecting the corporate image. This role bridges the gap between high-level brand strategy and tactical execution, overseeing corporate PR efforts, media relations, and strategic partnerships. The PR Manager serves as a key storyteller for the brand, ensuring that SeneGence’s values, mission, and product innovations are consistently highlighted across print, digital, and broadcast media. They work closely with the internal social media team and external agencies to drive brand recognition and support our global network of Independent Distributors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Media Relations & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement annual PR strategies, budgets, and resource plans to elevate the SeneGence brand.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external PR agencies and publicists to coordinate outreach and publicity efforts.
  • Prepare and coach executives and team members for media appearances and interviews.
  • Manage media pitches, sample mailings, and follow-ups for new product launches and organizational announcements.
  • Oversee PR efforts in international markets, including Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Content & Communications:

  • Oversee the creation, editing, and distribution of press releases, news summaries, and media kits.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Communication and Creative teams to ensure all public-facing assets uphold brand standards and messaging.
  • Manage the production of brand content for PR projects, including video and photo shoots for media use.
  • Develop press pitches for Founder-focused news and company initiatives, pitching directly to industry contacts.

Brand Partnerships & Activations:

  • Explore, manage, and oversee brand partnerships and sponsorships that align with the SeneGence budget and image.
  • Lead the logistics and support for PR-related brand activations and corporate events.
  • Oversee product gifting programs and the creation of personalized assets (e.g., product postcards) for editors and influencers.
  • Manage the "press hit" pipeline, ensuring graphics are created for social channels and shared with the Distributor Global Group.

Reporting & Distributor Support:

  • Maintain a regular report of press and promotional opportunities, tracking ROI and KPIs for the executive team.
  • Provide training and support to Independent Distributors on how to effectively utilize press hits and obtain local media coverage.
  • Perform competitor analysis and monitor industry trends to identify new media opportunities.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Public Relations, Communications, or Brand Marketing, preferably within the Beauty or Direct Sales industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing
  • Exceptional copywriting, editing, and storytelling abilities. *
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of managing external agencies and maintaining editor relationships.
  • Proficiency in monitoring media trends and predicting digital market shifts.
  • Expertise in crisis communication and reputation management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  

Physical requirements include arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard and telephone; frequent walking with occasional standing; may be subject to occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional carrying up to fifty (50) pounds; frequent balancing, bending, handling, feeling, and climbing; occasional reaching, kneeling, and twisting; vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks.  

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Working environment is primarily an office environment, subject to irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
