Job description
ANG SIGNAL is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our team supporting the federal government. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for providing project management and IT services management support for IT infrastructure and network activities. The successful candidate must have strong project management skills and IT technical knowledge that enable the candidate to lead IT projects through the initiation, planning, execution and completion phases, and must be able to communicate technical details to senior management and leadership. This is a one-year project with an opportunity to extend or transfer to other project activities upon completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and resources for IT infrastructure and networking initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical experts and vendors.
  • Develop project plans, track progress, and report status to stakeholders.
  • Oversee network design, implementation, and optimization activities.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and mitigate issues proactively.
  • Implement security measures like firewalls, VPNs, and access controls to protect network integrity.
  • Conduct site surveys, supervise the installation of infrastructure equipment, and ensure configurations of systems for new wireless networks are completed on time.
  • Perform risk assessments and keep the customer updated as to issues and risks.
  • Proactively manage risks and timelines to ensure timeline and high-quality delivery of project activities and deliverables.
  • Facilitate communications and coordinate where necessary with federal customer stakeholders and other project contract teams.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of related work experience directly implementing IT Infrastructure and Networking projects. Experience HPE Aruba Networking technologies is a plus.
  • Technical certifications preferred (e.g. ITIL, Network+, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, etc.)
  • Project management certification or completed coursework is required (e.g. PMP, SCRUM, SAFe)
  • In-depth knowledge of IT security standards and best practices
  • Knowledge of NIST security standards and FISMA is preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, personal drive, and ability to see projects through to execution in a matrixed environment
  • Strong organizational and mentoring skills
  • Possesses strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
