About the role:

As an Ocean Fulfilment IAM Lead, you will play a critical role in delivering the customer promises that underpin Maersk's global ocean network. You will be responsible for planning and managing vessel scheduling, service delivery, asset utilization, and operational execution within your assigned service scope. Working closely with Network Planning, Operations, Market, Customer Experience, Terminal Planners, vessel captains, and external partners, you will ensure reliable, efficient, and cost-conscious service delivery while balancing customer outcomes, schedule reliability, network optimization, and operational performance. This role offers the opportunity to influence critical global shipping decisions and drive continuous improvement across one of the world's largest integrated logistics networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and ensure that we deliver the product and promise we sold to our customers

  • Own utilization and schedule reliability of a set of services constituting a trade

  • Plan and sail vessels at maximum utilization on the most reliable and cost-effective network

  • Participate in projects including efficiency and cost savings/avoidance

  • Identifies and suggest continuous improvement possibilities in the ways of working

  • Lead vessel contingency/incident and provide overall contingency planning guidance

  • Participates in and coordinates new deployments and optimization opportunities with Network Design and Market Leads to underpin customer experience and network efficiency

  • Engage and communicate closely with a multitude of stakeholders inside the organization, as well as external stakeholders

  • Participate and coordinate fleet delivery/redelivery plan and Extra Loaders

  • Own vessel scheduling to meet reliability and delivery requirement

  • Drive bunker consumption reduction

  • Preparation, finalization, engagement with 24/7 Execution team for a reliable OPS gameplan

  • Drive ship-shore engagement with the fleet in improving overall operations and execution of ops

  • Responsible for the preparation and finalization of vessel gameplan in close coordination/input from other functions and terminal planners

  • Bring at least 5 years of experience within shipping, ocean transportation, terminals, or the broader logistics and transportation industry.

  • Demonstrate experience in vessel operations, network planning, terminal operations, scheduling, or a comparable maritime environment.

  • Apply strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills to operational challenges and performance improvement opportunities.

  • Remain calm under pressure and make sound, independent decisions in dynamic and complex situations.

  • Communicate effectively across multiple stakeholder groups, including internal teams and external partners.

  • Demonstrate adaptability, customer empathy, and a continuous improvement mindset.
