Zayo's communications infrastructure solutions include dark fiber, private data networks, wavelengths, Ethernet, and dedicated Internet access. Zayo serves wireless and wireline carriers, media, tech, content, finance, healthcare and other large enterprises.

Location: This is a hybrid position requiring employees to work in the office at least three days per week. Candidates may be based out of either our West Henrietta, NY or Melville, NY office locations.

The Global Network Operations NOC Lead will oversee the configuration, layout, and maintenance of the entire network. This person will also analyze, supply feedback, look for trends and provide additional technical support to the Network Control Center. The Global Network Operations NOC Lead will also research and evaluate the network through our NMS tool and recommend needs where applicable. This role will also include interaction with our customer base to provide support, status and direction to ongoing initiatives.

The Global Network Operations NOC Lead will need to be well versed with the administration of a heterogeneous network across multiple platforms. The Analyst will work cross-functionally with internal departments, external vendors and the NOC team to coordinate corrective actions, resolve issues, provide documentation as well as metrics of the performance within our deployed infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly investigate and analyze Zayo infrastructure to determine root cause of service impairments.

  • Plan, validate, and execute corrective measures on Zayo Optical and Data network in a timely fashion, meeting or exceeding SLA guidelines.

  • Ensure internal teams and leadership receive clear and concise ticket updates with regularity.

  • Provide peer-to-peer support for both Network Analysts & NOC Technicians.

  • Demonstrate proficient handling of Zayo Monitoring Systems (Netcool) to quickly identify and repair network events.

  • Draft (and conduct) change management events as needed following troubleshooting of the Zayo network.

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years telecommunications experience.

  • Solid understanding of network technologies and communications protocols.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Experience on Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, MRV, Infinera, and ADVA platforms.

Working Conditions:This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week). Rotational Holiday coverage is expected.

Estimated base pay range for this role is $32.30 - $49.71 USD / hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.


Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
