Job description

Job Title:  Project Manager - OKC Area

Department:  Production/Operations

Reports to:  Director of Operations

FLSA Status:  Full-Time, Exempt

Approval:  Chief Executive Officer

Date:  July 21st, 2026


Purpose Of This Position: 

Perfect My Home (PMH), we’re looking for an experienced Project Manager that has experience with homebuilding and the construction industry.  This position will be covering the Oklahoma City area but would provide coverage in the surrounding areas around the state as well, if needed.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting on projects using project management tools, typically after project approval. The project manager serves as a liaison between upper management and the teams executing the project. They ensure the project scope is well-defined, provide regular progress updates, and ensure adherence to the approved schedule.  This position works closely with subcontractors and shop personnel.    But will have to travel to job sites primarily in the OKC area, and available to assist in the State of Oklahoma project sites.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Meets work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.
  • Customers must be updated at least twice a week, as required.
  • Track all purchases and materials in accordance with the project manager agreement.
  • Complete all assigned projects within the specified or agreed-upon timeline.
  • Job sites must be maintained, kept clean, and regularly inspected for safety measures.
  • Project Managers are responsible for offering the guidance and oversight required to deliver the work outlined in the customer invoice.
  • Possesses the ability to accept feedback and implement changes as needed.
  • Achieves cost standards by tracking expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Enhances quality outcomes by analyzing, assessing, and redesigning processes.
  • Helps the executive team by answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Enhances job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and participating in professional organizations.

  • Performs other duties as directed.


    Qualifications:

    PMH is looking for an experienced project manager that:

    • Has proven experience (5–10 years minimum) in residential homebuilding and general construction
    • Strong understanding of framing techniques, code compliance, and construction inspections
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and adapt effectively on active job sites
    • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
    • Education Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent
    • Expectations with technology:  The ideal candidate should have experience in the most current technologies and products used in the industry. 
    • This position requires strong customer service skills that are essential to providing liaison duties with leadership, along with effective communication abilities to engage with customers.
    • Being bi-lingual is a plus. 
    • The candidate should be capable of working both independently and collaboratively to meet project deadlines.   


    Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

    • Effective communication, presentation and interviewing skills are required.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, mathematical or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals or groups, clients, customers, and the general public.
    • Ability to multi-task and identify potential conflicts or needs and provide timely resolutions.
    • Must be detail oriented, respect deadlines and provide timely feedback or responses.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality as directed, be honest, trustworthy, dependable, demonstrate good work ethic and flexibility.


    Special requirements: 

    A valid Oklahoma Class "D" Operator's License is required, along with the ability to drive a company-provided vehicle and proof of auto insurance.


    Safety: 

    The employee shall be knowledgeable about and follow PMH’s safety policies and procedures.  Project Managers should possess or be open to ongoing training in job and service shop site safety practices. Employees should immediately report (i.e., during current shift) any accidents, unusual occurrences, or any other safety-related issues to the immediate supervisor.


    Work Environment: 

    This position primarily takes place in a construction environment, exposing the employee to varying temperatures, including heat and cold. The employee is expected to maintain regular attendance at work and is consistently on time. Normal office hours are 7:30am - 5:00pm.  Work hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as required.  This includes any approved adjustments to work hours arranged for necessary outreach events.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or reach with hands and arms, to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Employees should use proper lifting techniques and, if necessary, seek assistance or use equipment to minimize the risk of injury. Additionally, employees should be physically capable of performing these tasks safely. 


    Benefits and Compensation: 

    PMH offers a competitive benefits package to include Health, Dental and Vision Insurance and Paid Time Off. The position will be considered an exempt position, and the pay will be based on the employee’s qualifications and experience. The minimum starting wage range is $60,000 annually in an exempt status.  This position is eligible for an incentive package in addition to the base salary.
