Network Operations Center(NOC) Performance Monitoring Lead

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Network Operations Center(NOC) Performance Monitoring Lead , the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the US Air Force and our BIM customers. You will play a crucial role in helping modernize these Air Force Bases infrastructure providing monitoring solutions to reduce network downtime and enhance the customer experience at each base.


Lead/Manage/Support You will be the lead Network Performance Monitoring SME to interface with our BIM team and the customer to integrate network monitoring and management tools and establish dashboards ensuring availability, security and other network services levels.


Collaborate with our BIM Engineering, Design and Site teams to build, integrate and enhance the BIM monitoring solution
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Performance Monitoring Specialist Principal must have:
Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
Experience: 5+ years of related experience

Required Technical Skills:

  • Network Enterprise operations background - you've been in the trenches and know what works
  • General Networking concepts (OSI Model/VPN/Topologies/Router functions...etc)
  • Scripting abilities for automation and efficiency improvements
  • Translate BIM KPIs/KQIs to customize ops center alerts and service level awareness
  • Experience configuring, maintaining, securing, and updating observability and network management tools and systems such as SolarWinds.
  • Experience with Cisco Provider Connectivity Assurance (PCA) is highly Desired
  • Familiarity w/ underlying, Linux, virtualization and containerization technologies
  • Expertly use the GUI capabilities to create and customize dashboards and reports centered on our Service Level Agreements

Security Clearance Level: DoW Secret Level Clearance required

Required Certifications: DOW 8140 equivalent requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges. Requirements include possessing and maintaining Security Plus CE. Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills applied to the development and presentation of technical materials appropriate to a broad spectrum of audiences.

  • Adept at interfacing with Government at senior leader levels and representing the interests of GDIT

Preferred Skills:HPE Service Orchestrator and HPE Intelligent Assurance solutions knowledge is a plus, ITIL V3/4 Foundation or higher

The likely salary range for this position is $91,800 - $124,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
