Job description

Company: Genovations Tech
Reports to: Director / Managing Partner
Type: Full-time (open to strong contractor-to-hire)

Role Summary

Genovations Tech is seeking a highly disciplined, organized operator to own our Verkada partnership and manage the end-to-end execution of Verkada security projects.

This role is best described as a sales-led operations manager—someone who can confidently run discovery calls, scope projects correctly, coordinate with Verkada and approved installation partners, and ensure projects are executed cleanly, on time, and to standard.

This is not a field installer role and not a high-pressure sales position. Success in this role is measured by clarity, responsiveness, documentation quality, and follow-through. Verkada and our clients should feel that projects are controlled, predictable, and professionally managed from first call through post-install.

This role will become the institutional knowledge holder for how Genovations Tech delivers Verkada projects and will play a key role in shaping any future internal install team.

Core Responsibilities

Verkada Partnership Ownership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Genovations Tech and Verkada

  • Ensure strict alignment with Verkada partner expectations, processes, and standards

  • Coordinate with Verkada reps on solution design, approvals, quoting, and escalations

  • Maintain clean, timely, and professional communication with Verkada at all times

  • Protect and strengthen the partner relationship through disciplined execution

Pre-Sales Discovery & Scoping

  • Lead structured discovery calls with prospective clients

  • Translate business and security needs into clearly defined Verkada solutions

  • Develop accurate scopes of work and bills of materials (with Verkada support as needed)

  • Identify site readiness requirements (network, power, mounting, access, cabling)

  • Ensure projects are correctly scoped before commitments are made

Install & Project Coordination (Partner-Led)

  • Coordinate projects using Verkada-aligned installation partners

  • Validate installer readiness, scope alignment, and expectations before installs begin

  • Schedule and manage timelines with clients, installers, and Verkada

  • Proactively identify risks, gaps, or misalignment and stop issues before they escalate

  • Maintain control of execution without being physically on ladders or pulling cable

Client Experience & Communication

  • Act as the primary client-facing lead for Verkada projects

  • Set clear expectations, timelines, and next steps

  • Provide consistent, professional updates throughout the project lifecycle

  • Address questions or concerns calmly and promptly

  • Deliver a polished experience that reflects well on both Genovations Tech and Verkada

Documentation, Tracking & Follow-Through

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records

  • Track open items, action items, and post-install tasks

  • Ensure clean handoff from install to support or closeout

  • Create repeatable processes that reduce friction and uncertainty over time

Required Experience & Capabilities

Experience (3+ years in one or more)

  • Commercial security systems (cameras, access control, alarms)

  • Low-voltage systems (AV, structured cabling, access control)

  • IT/MSP or systems integrator environments

  • Facilities, construction, or technical project coordination

  • Vendor or channel-partner program experience strongly preferred

Technical & Operational Understanding

  • Working knowledge of:

    • IP cameras and access control systems

    • Networking fundamentals (PoE, switches, VLANs)

    • Install sequencing and site readiness

  • Ability to assess whether an install is properly scoped, executed, and complete

  • Confidence to pause or correct work that does not meet expectations

Professional Traits

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects without chaos

  • Process-driven and documentation-friendly

  • Calm, steady, and accountable under pressure

  • Values discipline and follow-through over improvisation

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a field installer role

  • Not a residential security position

  • Not a commission-only or high-pressure sales role

  • Not a “figure it out as you go” environment

  • Not a loose or improvisational operation
