SmarterBroadband is a local Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) providing high quality and reliable Internet services to rural, remote, and business customers in Nevada and Placer Counties. SmarterBroadband has been awarded the Best of Nevada County award for Internet Service Providers three (3) years running.
Job Description
Our Ideal Candidate:
Experienced in all aspects of routing, and networking, including OSPF, BGP & VPLS protocols. Knowledge and working experience of UNIX & Windows administration for servers. Will be a team member responsible for maintaining our networks at optimal operations. Able to work well with other technicians/team members in a very positive/productive manner.
Job Duties
Perform setup and maintenance of Routers, Switches, and other network hardware. Administer company IP Blocks, DNS, Radius server, in-house Virtual server. Proactively manage, maintain and backup billing and network hardware and monitoring computer systems including NAS and Traffic management servers. Assist field implementation of new tower setups from a networking aspect, have great troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications
Preferred Requisites:
• High level of experience in operations of a TCP/IP network.
• Comfortable with UNIX and Windows OS maintenance.
• WISP experience a plus.
• Basic programming skills a plus.
• Great attitude and work ethic an absolute requirement.
