Security Clearance: active and current Secret with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.

This posting is for multiple opportunities ranging in years of experience. Level of opportunity, including compensation, will be matched to a candidate's experience.

Leidos currently has several openings for Network Engineerstoa Defense network program in Orlando, FL.The Network Engineerwillbe responsible forsupportingcore networkinfrastructuredevices, including troubleshooting andquick fixes, on-site support,and providingrequirements to drive improvement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide Network Engineering support for the design, documentation, implementation, maintenance, and operation ofan evolvingnetwork architecture.Provide cross-discipline training for and mentoring of all teampersonnel.

  • Managenetworkarchitecture to include operational and security related updates and changes.

  • Lead the deployment planning and coordination ofnetwork system upgrades at various field sites, both CONUS and OCONUS asrequired.

  • Interface with Tier 2 toassistwith coordination and issue escalation asappropriate.

  • Providebriefings and regular status updates to Program leadershipon issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field with 8-15 years of relevant experience.

  • Active and current Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.

  • Demonstrated subject matterexpertisein network infrastructure.

  • Demonstratedexperienceof JuniperSSR architecture and configuration.

  • Expertisein SD-WAN technologies and implementation.

  • Demonstratedproficiencyin Cisco IOS/IOS-XE operating systems.

  • Strong understanding of routing protocols (OSPF,BGP,EIGRP).

  • Experience with network virtualization and software-defined networking.

  • Familiarity with network automation tools.

  • Proventrack recordin SD-Wan solutions.

  • Familiarity with WAN optimizing.

  • Understanding and implementing QoS.

  • Proficient knowledge ofnetwork engineering, networkarchitecture,andnetwork automation.

  • Strong written and verbal communications, teambuildingand collaboration skills.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds,PRTG, Nagios).

  • Familiarity with VoIP and unified communications technologies.

  • Understanding of containerization and microservices architectures
