Your Role

Reporting to the Manager, Telecommunications and Telephony, the Network Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and evolving RONA’s network and telecommunications systems.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform operational management activities and deploy new network projects;

  • Submit support requests to designated vendors and partners;

  • Implement branch network solutions defined by the senior network team;

  • Update the knowledge base using an incident-oriented approach;

  • Update documentation related to the solution and integration strategy with other systems;

  • Stay up to date on networking technologies;

  • Participate in after-hours support rotations.

The Qualifications We Are Looking For

  • College diploma in IT or equivalent;

  • Strong experience with the deployment and management of Aruba/HPE and Cisco Wi-Fi;

  • Strong experience with Wi-Fi site surveys and post-implementation/exit surveys, with the ability to work with measurement tools such as Ekahau;

  • Excellent knowledge of authentication management engines such as Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass, including the 802.1X protocol;

  • Good experience with national wide area networks: Fortinet SD-WAN and LTE cellular networks;

  • Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or Zabbix.

Assets

  • Experience with firewalls such as Fortinet and Cisco;

  • Knowledge of the BGP routing protocol;

  • Experience with scripting automation, such as Python, or deployment tools;

  • Cisco or Fortinet certification.
