SUMMARY:
The Integration Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise integration solutions using the Boomi platform to enable reliable, scalable data exchange across critical business systems. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience with the Boomi platform and a bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, MIS, or a related field. This role is a direct contributor to enhancing and growing Boomi as a data and services hub, connecting various internal enterprise systems and providing data and services to external partners. The Integration Engineer balances independent problem-solving with strong teamwork, contributes to integration architecture decisions, and supports continuous improvement across the integration landscape.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, management information systems (MIS), or a related business technology field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an integration engineer or developer, with a focus on the Boomi platform.
  • Experience with other integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, TIBCO) is a plus.
  • Boomi certification(s) including Boomi Professional Developer Certification or Boomi Professional Integration Architect are highly desirable.

ESSENTIAL TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy integrations using the Boomi AtomSphere platform.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and other technical teams to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain existing integrations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data flow, connectivity, and performance.
  • Document integration processes, configurations, and best practices.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

TECHNICAL & MANAGERIAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Deep expertise in the Boomi AtomSphere platform, including Boomi Integration, Boomi Flow, Boomi Data Integration, and Boomi API Management.
  • Proficiency in various integration patterns and protocols such as REST, SOAP, SFTP, and EDI as well as development and testing tools including Postman.
  • Strong knowledge of data formats, including XML, JSON, and CSV.
  • Experience in working with different external APIs including JSON: API
  • Experience managing relational databases (e.g., DB2, SQL Server, Oracle) with proficiency in managing DB tables, queries and stored procedures
  • Server management skills and an understanding of infrastructure concepts including networking, storage, backups, disaster recovery, etc. are desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
