Purpose
This role installs and maintains operating systems, applications, servers, virtualization, network devices and backup systems to ensure stable performance.
Key Missions
  • Responds to the day-to-day business needs according with priorities
  • Troubleshoots problem source through discussions with users and coordinates with internal organization support and operations groups and with vendors to resolve problems
  • Stays up-to-date on information technology and aligns it with IDEMIA and Divisions' technology strategy
  • Acquires, installs and upgrades IT components, licensing and software, and manages inventory
  • Ensures to follow governance model and processes (change management, root cause analysis, documentation, etc.)
  • Creates and maintains documentation related to their activities
  • Ensures and supports Division standards about safety and security as well as industry and legal regulations
  • Plans service availibity according to business requirements (this may include defining redundancy, backup implementation, having on-call duty)
  • Executes simple day to day administration and networking tasks, may support on complex tasks
  • Performs patching and ensures the documentation is up to date
  • Works with the guidance of a more experience team member
