Network Architect

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

Shape the enterprise network strategy for Moneris, leading architecture and modernization across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments within the Infrastructure Architecture, Engineering, and Cloud Operations team.

This role owns network standards, governance, and automation for a payments-grade estate - spanning Cisco Nexus and Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Palo Alto Networks firewalls with Panorama, F5 BIG-IP and Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Azure networking (ExpressRoute, Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups). You will drive Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) adoption, deepen segmentation, and codify reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns in Terraform, Ansible, and Python. Partnering with Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Information Security, and Development, you will deliver secure, scalable, resilient network services that protect merchant traffic and accelerate delivery.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is$142,000 - $186,000

Your Moneris Career - Whatyou'lldo

  • Lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise network solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.

  • Define andmaintainnetwork architecture standards, governance frameworks, policies, and operational processes.

  • Drive automation of network provisioning, deployment, upgrades, and lifecycle management using Terraform, Ansible, and Python.

  • Design and oversee secure internal, perimeter, and cloud-connected network infrastructures, including segmentation and access control.

  • Evaluate and govern adoption of emerging networking, cloud, and security technologies, including Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).

  • Partner with Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Information Security, and Development to deliver strategic initiatives.

  • Serve asnetworksubject matter expert (SME) and escalation leadforcomplex incidents and critical production issues.

  • Ensure network solutions meet security, compliance, availability, and performance requirements for merchant services.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proven experience developing enterprise network architectures, technical standards, and solution designs in complex environments.

  • Hands-onexpertisewith Cisco Nexus, F5 BIG-IP and Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Palo Alto Networks firewalls managed via Panorama with multi-vsys, multi-device-group structures.

  • Deepexpertisein routing andswitching:internal and external Border Gateway Protocol (iBGP/eBGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS).

  • Software-Defined Networking (SDN) experience with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Nutanix AHV / OpenvSwitch, and Kubernetes networking.

  • Strong Microsoft Azure networking experience: ExpressRoute, Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Application Security Groups (ASGs).

  • Hands-on automation and scripting with Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, and PowerShell to build reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience within payments, merchantacquiring, or financial services.

  • Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE).

  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.

  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).
