Job description

Build Reliable Networks That Keep Care Connected.
This is a remote position open to Missouri residents only. 
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p. 

As a Network Engineer I, you'll help maintain the secure, reliable technology infrastructure that supports care across Compass Health Network. You'll assist with the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise network systems while helping ensure dependable connectivity for staff and the communities we serve. Working alongside a collaborative IT team, you'll play an important role in supporting daily operations, improving network performance, and delivering secure technology solutions across multiple locations.

  • Support the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless technologies, and security appliances.
  •  Assist with network design, capacity planning, and implementation of infrastructure improvements. 
  •  Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure reliable system availability. 
  •  Support network security through system maintenance, backups, disaster recovery processes, and adherence to best practices. 
  •  Research and evaluate network technologies, products, and services to support future initiatives. 
  •  Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to support network projects and services. 
  •  Maintain network documentation, technical specifications, and asset inventory. 
  •  Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights as assigned. 
  •  Recommend and assist with approved network upgrades, repairs, and performance enhancements. 
  •  Provide guidance and support to team members as appropriate while maintaining compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and information security standards.
  • High School/GED required
  •  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred 
  •  Three (3) years equivalent work experience preferred 
  •  Expert knowledge of various routing/switching protocols 
  •  High level understanding of configuration and deployment of Cisco/Meraki, HP, Aruba, Velocloud, and Fortinet devices and software 
  •  Expert knowledge of security standards configuration of network hardware/software 
  •  High level ability to troubleshoot and problem solve complex networking issues 
  •  Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required 
  •  Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment preferred 
  •  Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment 
  •  A valid, unrestricted driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
Licensure/Certification:
  •  Cisco Networking certification (CCNA) or equivalent experience preferred

  •  Ability to communicate technical information and concepts in a clear, user-friendly manner 
  •  Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong self-direction and initiative 
  •  Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
