Job description

Salary:

INODE is a leading information technology (IT) professional services Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, business intelligence, and data science services for federal, state and local organizations. We are seeking an experienced Network Security Administrator III to lead the management, configuration, and optimization of boundary network devices such as firewalls, routers, and switches in support of the USAF on an IT Support Services contract. The Network Security Administrator III will provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues to ensure robust and secure network perimeter operations. This is a salaried position, full-time, onsite at the JBSA Lackland AFB.


Job Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Active IAT Level II or higher certification
  • Available to work onsite Monday-Friday Swing Shift 15:00-23:00 CT
  • Lead the management, configuration, and optimization of boundary network devices such as firewalls, routers, and switches
  • Perform as a SME in Palo Alto technologies
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues to ensure robust and secure network perimeter operations
  • Oversee the monitoring and assessment of boundary network traffic for potential security threats
  • Ensure rigorous compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements by conducting detailed security audits and maintaining comprehensive documentation of network configurations and security measures
  • Install, monitor, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, patch, harden, maintain, and operate intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, load balancers, and web proxies to protect AFNet resources from both internal and external threats according to DoD security standards
  • Perform complex analytics on boundary protection systems to protect system assets from compromise, data loss, and other requirements
  • Perform DCO and DODIN operations

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 7+ years of experience in network administration
  • 5+ years of experience with network security
  • 3+ years of experience with Palo Alto routers
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) certification or modern equivalent (Network Security Professional OR Next-Generation Firewall Engineer required
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE Certification or higher required
  • Experience with enterprise DOD boundary protection and CSSP operations
  • Able to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions
  • Experience with network monitoring and management using an automated solution
  • Extensive experience with security as it pertains to network architecture, desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS)
  • Solid customer service and communication skills are critical as well as the ability and willingness to communicate effectively and appropriately in an empathetic and understanding manner
  • High attention to detail
  • Superb documentation skills
  • Self-motivated to continuously grow skillset and stay at the forefront of technology evolution
