Join a team of 30 telecommunications professionals responsible for supporting Cisco voice platforms across more than 400 locations and 50,000 endpoints throughout Sanford Health.
Key Responsibilities
Establish, implement, and maintain enterprise standards for Cisco voice and telephony deployments.
Partner with Lead and Senior Telecom Engineers to prioritize communications infrastructure projects and operational initiatives across the organization.
Provide technical leadership for the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of Cisco telephony solutions.
Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of enterprise communications platforms.
Monitor and maintain compliance with all applicable telecommunications regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to support strategic communications initiatives and enterprise growth.
Drive continuous improvement efforts, including process standardization, documentation, and operational best practices.
Serve as an escalation point for complex telecommunications issues and provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution.

Job Description

Leads the technical design and implementation of the organization's infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and network security, to ensure the highest level of performance, reliability, and security for our telecommunications platforms. Develops and implements network policies, procedures, and standards that align with industry best practices. Provides technical leadership and mentorship to other telecommunications and network engineers. Collaborates with other IT teams, business units, and stakeholders to understand their network requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs. Develops and maintains network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Keeps abreast of emerging network technologies, trends, and best practices and provides proactive recommendations about future state goals and technologies. Works with vendors and services providers to evaluate and implement new network technologies, tools, and services. Develops disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the networking infrastructure. Leads numerous concurrent network projects that improve upon the performance, reliability, and scalability of the network. Works closely with infrastructure and security architects, network engineers, business analysts, leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of projects and proactive maintenance of the network. Must possess advanced technical knowledge and experience along with excellent communication, collaboration skills, and presentation skills across technology disciplines. Must be able to work independently with minimal oversight as well as collaboratively as part of multi-disciplined teams. Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Must be able to prioritize and lead multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field required.
Eight years experience in network engineering with at least two years in a senior or principal level role. Advanced knowledge and experience with network routing, witching, LAN/WAN, wireless, network design and architecture, network protocols, and network security. Proven ability to lead and mentor network engineers.
Advanced networking certifications desired.
