Job Description Job Description Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer Job Description We are seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer who will be responsible for creating and maintaining electrical drawings for both new and existing models. This role involves the layout of electrical control cabinets and collaborating with the engineering department to ensure systems align with current technology and electrical standards. The engineer will also write PLC programs for industrial equipment and support production with techniques for electrical control panel wiring and PLC programming.

Responsibilities Create and maintain electrical drawings for new and current models. Layout electrical control cabinets. Collaborate with the engineering department to keep systems updated with technology and electrical standards.

Write PLC programs for industrial equipment. Assist production with proper techniques for electrical control panel wiring and PLC programming. Participate in the design and development of electrical software programs for new and upgraded products.

Work with customers, service teams, and engineering teams to solve technical problems and provide training. Provide customer support, including travel estimated at 10%; daily on-site presence when not traveling. Essential Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.

Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming. Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering. 3 to 5 years of experience in the field, preferably with an original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with OEM is advantageous. Siemens PLC programming experience is a plus. Familiarity with ERP Systems, with SAP being beneficial.

Good understanding of domestic and international electrical codes such as NEC and IEC60204-1. Work Environment This position is based on-site, with a work schedule from Monday to Friday. Occasional travel may be required depending on customer needs.

This role offers hands-on, end-to-end engineering exposure within a small company environment, providing visibility and impact in an interesting niche of foundry and heavy equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
