Job description

CNC Machinist ($22-28/hour - Shawnee, OK)

Job Description

You will work in a job-shop style environment, using both CNC and manual equipment to produce high-quality components according to engineering specifications and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce components for perforating guns according to engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Perform manual machining operations on manual mills and manual lathes as needed to support production requirements.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining processes.
  • Use Fanuc and Haas controls to operate and, when needed, program CNC machines, including 5-axis equipment where applicable.
  • Monitor machine operations, make adjustments to feeds, speeds, and tooling, and ensure parts meet dimensional and quality specifications.
  • Inspect finished parts using appropriate measuring tools and verify conformance to required tolerances.

Work Environment

The role is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility focused on precision machining and assembly of perforating guns. The operation runs multiple shifts: first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and second shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Overtime is available as needed or desired, and there is a $2 shift differential for eligible shifts starting from day one.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
