Our work depends on Network Engineer Senior joining our team to install, operate and maintain network infrastructure, troubleshoot any issues and quickly remedy the problem.


HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER SR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Performs a full range of complex network support encompassing multiple technologies and technology layers (LAN, WAN, OS, IOS, ) within a single, enterprise network

  • Perform post design support to include installation, configuration, and tier II, O&M support for both enterprise and field deployed systems including local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and system level aspects

  • Design network redundancy for backup connectivity

  • Troubleshoot and analyze significant, complex network problems that require evaluation of intangibles, such as downstream effects on client satisfaction

  • Manage intellectual property such as IP address space, domain structure, and DNS infrastructure

  • Research network trends

  • Establishes network users, user environments, directories, and security for networks being installed

  • Develops network, news, and host security policies

  • Provides users with network technical support

  • An escalation point for Network Engineers/Analysts for Corporate Data Systems and service provider issues


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science preferred

  • CCNA preferred

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of related experience

Required Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of backup and disaster recovery scenarios, systems and methodologies (Backup Exec, RAID)

  • Proven ability to deliver architectures that incorporate high availability, operations supportability and scalability - Technology life cycle perspective

  • Expert-level background working with Cisco and Juniper switches and routers, monitoring solutions, load balancers, packet shapers, wireless solutions, system and operational management solutions

  • Advanced understanding of business process implications underlying critical systems and networks

  • Deliver detailed network assessments, design, cost analysis, implementation strategies, timelines and configuration guidance to project teams

  • Experience working with Cisco technologies and Data Center Networks Design, Set up and/or operations

Security Clearance Level:

  • Secret to start, must be able to obtain TS/SCI

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Issue based consulting skills (consultant report writing skills, developing functional and infrastructure requirements, developing a multi-level architecture, communicating the architecture to stake holders detailed designers and implementers, and ability to tie business drivers and requirements to architecture decisions and features)

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
