SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: (2- 3 sentences summarizing the position)
The position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to address system problems using a team approach, the flexibility to work well with co-workers in a variety of problem situations, and the ability to communicate issues and concerns to management in a timely manner. Must be a fast-paced, self-motivated worker with a high degree of persistence with a desire to independently find solutions to difficult problems while knowing when to utilize team resources. This position will install, configure, and support systems and software which provide tactical value to the business. This position will be responsible for supporting security applications and appliances, networks - both wired and wireless, and VOIP telephone system. This position is customer-service oriented, and the person will interface with all levels of the organization. This position requires a broad knowledge of IT systems and strong problem-solving ability.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide primary support for Palo Alto firewalls and security applications
  • Provide support for VOIP phone systems and handsets
  • Provide support for network including VPN, routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Provide support for security related issues including VPN, firewalls, and network performance
  • This position will require a broad range of IT skills as well as "soft" interpersonal skills.
  • This person will need exceptional customer service skills and believes in "owning" a task or project.
  • Be able to self-start and self-manage their projects and be a team player.
  • Adequately and concisely communicate with company associates (users) in both oral and written form.
  • Demonstrate "team dynamics" in interactions with all coworkers.
  • First, second and third level technical support in a large corporate helpdesk environment
  • Must perform problem analysis, troubleshooting and resolution as required on various products to include: desktop hardware and software applications and configurations, LAN and VPN Connectivity

AUTHORITY LEVEL (if applicable):
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related degree preferred.
Technical Skills Required:
  • 4+ years with cybersecurity (e.g. firewalls, IPS/IDS, anti-virus, SEIM)
  • 3+ years telephony experience
  • 3+ years help desk support experience
  • 1+ years hands-on with Palo Alto firewalls
  • Experience with Cisco, Extreme, Meraki, Aruba networking platforms
  • Experience with VOIP telephone systems
  • Experience with Windows desktop operating systems
  • Strong Documentation and Network Diagram Experience

Preferred Skills
  • CISSP
  • Security+
  • CCNA/CCNP or relevant certificate

  • Must be a team player and have a winning attitude.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving ability, logical and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
