Saalex Corporation is seeking multiple Network Engineer IV in Tidewater, VA and San Diego, CA. Saalex Corp., is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services. Founded in 1999 by Travis Mack, Saalex Solutions is a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned and Operated business with prime and subcontract expertise serving the Navy, Army, Air Force, NASA, corporate clients, and local governments. Position Type: Contingent on Contract Award.

Salary: $115k-$185k (depending on experience)

The Network Engineer IV supports the Navy by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable network architectures across global Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) environments. This role focuses on network engineering, integration, and optimization of enterprise and tactical network systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Architect and lead design of enterprise network solutions including LAN/WAN, SDN, and secure enclaves. 
  • Oversee integration of advanced network technologies and security controls aligned with RMF and STIGs. 
  • Lead resolution of complex network issues and drive modernization initiatives. 
  • Develop network standards, policies, and engineering best practices. 
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Other duties as assigned or required. 

Requirements

Required:

  • 8-12 years of experience in network engineering or related field. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Experience with network technologies (routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs). 
  • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs). 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Security+ depending on level). 

Desired:

  • Experience supporting DoD or Navy network engineering environments. 
  • Familiarity with network automation, scripting, or SDN technologies. 
  • Experience with secure network architectures and boundary protection systems. 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to design and implement scalable network solutions.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance. Active clearances preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
