Job description

Systems Engineering Leader I

As a Controls Systems Engineering Leader, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for hardware, software engineering, and network-level commissioning for various projects. You will ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and uphold the highest ethical standards while implementing innovative practices to deliver cost-effective and customer-centered engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

Effectively manage and prioritize the workload of the Systems Engineering Team, ensuring progress and timely completion of engineering deliverables while maintaining high accountability for outcomes.

  • Develop and communicate clear processes and standards for the team, focusing on removing obstacles and facilitating streamlined workflows.
  • Provide precise engineering cost estimates during the project development phase.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and problem‑solving to enhance processes, tools, and technologies, ensuring cutting‑edge solutions are delivered.
  • Offer advanced technical support for application challenges, leveraging expertise in application engineering.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and customers to foster trust and diverse insights, ensuring cohesive project execution.
  • Lead the selection of controllers and devices to optimize installation costs and meet project specifications.
  • Utilize financial and management reports to evaluate project success and make informed decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, enhancing project development and execution.
  • Maintain engineering excellence by maximizing reuse of proven designs and adhering to high‑quality standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least eight years of experience, ideally in HVAC and control programming.
  • Proven leadership experience in supervising technical or engineering teams.
  • In‑depth knowledge of accounting principles and cost management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in presenting technical information.
