- Bachelors in English, Communication, Engineering or a related technical field (12 or more years of relevant Technical Writing work experience will also be considered)
Years of Experience Required:
- 8+ years of experience developing technical documents and 4+ years of experience working in a wireless network company or the equivalent
The Technical Writer for the Wireless Network Team will be a highly skilled documentation expert with responsibilities for developing, editing/updating and maintaining professional documentation for internal and external customers. The documentation developed shall be easy-to-understand and of professional quality to increase the clarity, performance, and usability for the customer. The Technical Writer must have high energy, work well with technical resources, and be flexible in working in a highly dynamic environment working with the latest technologies in wireless networks.
Responsibilities:
• Review and edit existing engineering documents while working closely with an existing team of system engineers, developers, testers, and writers
• Organize and edit operational procedures and product manuals
• Validate operational procedural documents in a lab environment when required
• Maintain comprehensive documentation that meets professional documentation standards
• Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience
• Review, publish, and manage technical documentation for internal and external customers
• Evaluate current document policies and templates, and develop innovative approaches for improvement
• Reorganize and develop documentation to meet standard documentation formats and contents
Qualifications:
• Bachelors in English, Communication, Engineering or a related technical field (12 or more years of relevant Technical Writing work experience will also be considered)
• 10+ years of experience developing technical documents
• 6+ years of experience working in a wireless network company or the equivalent
• Familiar with telecom infrastructure terminology and network equipment
• Familiar with writing operational procedural documents and validating them in a lab environment
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
• Excellent working knowledge of English grammar and the written language (Korean language skills is also a plus)
• Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with engineering teams
• Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines; ability to prioritize based on urgency
• Experience writing clear and concise technical documentation for complex topics
• Experience with the following tools: Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Word (advanced)
• Ability to work non-standard hours when the documentation development resources are available
