Job Title: Network Cabling Technician โ€“ L2
Duration:ย 6 Months
Location:ย Boise, ID โ€“ย 100% Onsite
Role Overview
The Network Cabling Technician โ€“ L2 will support enterprise network infrastructure through hands-on cabling installation, testing, and troubleshooting. This role requires onsite presence and strong experience with copper and fiber cabling in LAN/WAN environments.
Key Responsibilities
Network Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Assist in maintaining network communication systems
  • Test and assess LAN/WAN cabling to identify faults and performance issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity problems related to cabling
Design & Installation
  • Assemble, organize, and stage materials and tools for cabling projects
  • Run, pull, terminate, splice, and label copper and fiber optic cables
  • Install and support low-voltage cabling (CAT5, CAT6, fiber)
Testing & Support
  • Use test equipment to validate new and existing cable connections
  • Identify, measure, and replace faulty copper or fiber cables
  • Ensure cabling meets industry and site standards
Required Skills & Experience
  • Hands-on experience withย network cabling and infrastructure support
  • Strong knowledge ofย CAT5, CAT6, low-voltage, and fiber optic cabling
