Job description

Description

Seeking several Installation & Cable Technicians for projects in Ames, Des Moines, IA, and surrounding areas. Some travel is required, and per diem is provided for travel. Candidates should have at least 6 months of low-voltage experience; however, individuals with relevant technical training and hands-on coursework will also be considered.

Technicians will be responsible for installing data racks and cabinets, running and terminating Cat6 and coaxial cable, installing faceplates, testing, and labeling. Additional duties include setting up cable boxes, modems, and satellite dishes for individual units, as well as assisting with server closet buildouts for network systems.

Work will take place both indoors and outdoors across various sites, including schools and apartment buildings. Occasionally, technicians may assist with trench digging and directional drilling. Team members will follow direction from project leads.

Pay and Benefits
