Job Description
Responsibilities / Duties
  • Provide the customer with world class customer service and promote a good relationship between the subscriber and the local cable company.
  • Install new services; troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, or replace the subscriber's existing equipment.
    • This may include:
      • Hanging new drops, setting up the subscribers residential data network (network devices), setting up email service, installing digital phone, installation of digital and HD services, and education of the customer on all services provided and their use.
  • Work closely with dispatch and project managers for assignment of workload and daily schedule
  • Operate vehicle, hand tools, power tools, ladders, signal level meters, volt meters, converters, cable locators, leakage detection devices, and other test equipment
  • Complete required paperwork in neat, organized, and timely manner. This can include; timesheets, service orders, vehicle inspection, logs, job notes, etc.
  • Maintain, clean, organize, and upkeep vehicle used for company business and all equipment
  • Complete daily tasks with an emphasis on safety
  • May perform other duties as needed

  • Must posses strong communication skills when interacting with customers and conveying the company's products and services
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Highly motivated with a proven record of high productivity
  • Technical knowledge and aptitude in areas of responsibility
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to meet all physical demands (see Work Environment)
  • Must have a current, valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • Employment contingent on successful completion of a drug test and background check

  • Must be able to use a 28ft. extension ladder
  • Must be able to work at heights of 3-30 feet
