With the first generational leap in rocket engine technology since Apollo, our proprietary Rotating Detonation Rocket Engine and Venus Detonation Ramjets deliver historic efficiency and performance across aerospace applications. We are building the next generation of propulsion platforms that enable breakthrough capabilities in space, defense, and commercial high-speed flight. Our team thrives on solving the toughest engineering challenges and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in aerospace. At Venus, we're looking for bold engineers and innovators who want to make history and redefine the future of propulsion.
The Role: Network Administrator
As a Network Administrator at Venus Aerospace, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting the enterprise network infrastructure that powers our engineering, manufacturing, and business operations. Working closely with other IT professionals, you will help ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's network environment across multiple locations. • Design, install, and maintain structured cabling systems, network racks, and physical network infrastructure
  • Implement approved network changes and infrastructure improvements while independently managing smaller networking projects
  • Maintain centralized network configuration management systems and ensure configuration consistency across network devices
  • Monitor network health, performance, and availability using monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, performance, and infrastructure issues across enterprise environments
  • Collaborate with systems, security, and IT teams to maintain reliable, secure, and high-performing network services
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures
  • Leverage automation and configuration management tools to streamline network administration and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide advanced support for network-related issues while serving as an escalation resource for the IT team when needed
  • Perform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle management activities to ensure a secure and reliable network environment

What You Have
  • 3-5+ years of experience in network administration
  • Experience administering enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, dynamic routing, network segmentation, and Zero Trust networking principles
  • Experience supporting multi-site network environments and maintaining high network availability
  • Familiarity with centralized network configuration management, monitoring, and alerting platforms
  • Experience creating and maintaining accurate network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams
  • Network+, Security+, CCNA, or equivalent industry certification preferred

What Will Set You Apart
  • Experience supporting hybrid or cloud networking environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience participating in network architecture, design, or infrastructure modernization initiatives
  • Experience with advanced routing technologies and complex multi-site network environments
  • Experience implementing network segmentation, secure remote access, or Zero Trust networking architectures
  • Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, or production
