Job description

General Summary:
Reports to the Operations Manager, who provides objectives, timelines, resources, and responsibilities. This position is responsible for the administration of various systems, platforms, and network infrastructure, as well as providing support for operational goals and objectives. This role works collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders to assist in planning and implementing information technology projects and is challenged to improve both systems and network operational functionality.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
General Requirements:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
All duties performed will be done accurately and in a timely manner.
  1. Implements and maintains Active Directory and Group Policy according to industry best practices, aligned with operational goals and objectives. Manages Group Policy application across systems, including security initiatives such as machine hardening and BitLocker.
  2. Supports the management, maintenance, and implementation of system deploying BitLocker throughout the organization.
  3. Responsible for user maintenance, and implementation or systems deploying BitLocker throughout the organization.
  4. Supports enterprise-wide business continuity and disaster recovery processes.
  5. Works with the IT support team, both internal and contracted, to support deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades of all company systems and infrastructure, including servers, storage, databases, network devices, and associated software and hardware.
  6. Responsible for documenting systems, processes, and network configurations on an ongoing basis.
  7. Utilizes a ticketing system for change management and end-user support, including all hardware, software, and network-related modifications or requests.
  8. Supports centralized event collection from all systems and network devices, ensuring integrity and retention.
  9. Supports incident response by managing user access, validating system and network security policies, and participating in mitigation of potential security threats.
  10. Manages and monitors network infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, and VPN appliances. Performs network segmentation, VLAN configuration, and ensures secure and efficient traffic flow.
  11. Performs network troubleshooting to identify performance bottlenecks, packet loss, and connectivity issues using diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, NetFlow analyzers, or built-in device utilities.
  12. Implements and maintains firewall policies, NAT rules, and access control lists (ACLs) in alignment with security policies and compliance requirements.
  13. Coordinates with internet service providers (ISPs), telecom vendors, and cloud providers to ensure connectivity, availability, and timely resolution of outages.
  14. Maintains strict confidentiality.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Training:
Minimum high school education or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in computer science or management information systems (MIS) preferred. CCNA or MSCA is required. Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively perform all duties and responsibilities
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience implementing and supporting physical and virtual infrastructure, switches, network hardware and design required.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting active directory, group policy preferred.
Other Requirements:
Computer Skills: Knowledge of Word processing software, spreadsheet software, Internet, and database software. Skills in using computer/copier. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Experience with electronic medical record systems.
Work Environment:
Works primarily in an office setting and periodically in a clinical environment. Exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
Mental / Physical Requirements:
Requires manual dexterity, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crouching, bending, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs. without assistance. Close vision and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work efficiently under pressure
