Job description

The Elevator Pitch

Evolv is looking for an experienced NetSuite Systems Analyst to own and strengthen the ERP environment supporting our public-company financial operations. You will bring hands-on experience supporting NetSuite within a publicly traded or similarly controlled company. You should understand how ERP configuration, user access, system changes, integrations, and financial workflows affect SOX compliance and the integrity of financial reporting.

This role sits at the intersection of IT, Accounting, Finance, and Operations. You will be responsible for the administration, configuration, governance, and continued improvement of NetSuite, with a particular focus on financial controls, auditability, data integrity, and scalable business processes.

This is not primarily a NetSuite development or implementation-consulting role. It is an internal system ownership position for someone who can manage a business-critical financial platform, partner effectively with Accounting and Finance, and operate within a rigorous public-company control environment.

What You Will Accomplish

In the first 30 days, you will:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Evolv's NetSuite environment, financial processes, integrations, customizations, and control structure.
  • Build strong working relationships with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Internal Audit, and IT stakeholders.
  • Review existing system access, change-management practices, open issues, technical debt, and SOX-related processes.
  • Begin supporting day-to-day NetSuite administration and resolving priority business issues

Within 90 days, you will:

  • Independently manage the day-to-day administration and governance of NetSuite.
  • Establish credibility as a knowledgeable partner to Accounting and Finance.
  • Identify and address system or process gaps that create financial reporting, compliance, or operational risk.
  • Deliver at least one meaningful system improvement that reduces manual effort, strengthens controls, or improves data accuracy.
  • Improve documentation of system configurations, changes, access, integrations, and key financial workflows.

Within 12 months, you will:

  • Serve as Evolv's primary internal NetSuite subject-matter expert.
  • Deliver multiple improvements that strengthen financial controls, improve data integrity, and support efficient business growth.
  • Lead or support significant NetSuite enhancements, module expansions, integrations, or data migrations.
  • Strengthen the governance of system access, configuration changes, testing, approvals, and production releases.
  • Help ensure that NetSuite remains stable, scalable, secure, and compliant with Evolv's public-company requirements.
The Work: What You Will Do

NetSuite Administration & Configuration

  • Own day-to-day NetSuite administration, including roles, permissions, user access, saved searches, reports, dashboards, workflows, forms, and configuration.
  • Maintain and improve NetSuite modules supporting Accounting, Finance, and business operations.
  • Manage sandbox and production changes, testing, approvals, deployments, and release readiness.
  • Monitor system performance, integrations, workflows, scheduled scripts, and data quality.
  • Maintain clear documentation of system configurations, customizations, controls, and change history.

SOX Compliance and Financial Systems Governance

  • Partner with Accounting, Internal Audit, external auditors, and control owners to support SOX compliance within NetSuite.
  • Maintain and strengthen IT-dependent controls and IT general controls related to access, change management, segregation of duties, system configuration, and financial data.
  • Produce complete and accurate audit evidence and respond to auditor requests.
  • Support control testing, identify deficiencies, and help implement sustainable remediation plans.
  • Evaluate system changes for their potential impact on financial reporting and internal controls.
  • Ensure that NetSuite processes and configurations remain appropriately controlled, documented, and auditable.

Customization & Development

  • Evaluate and work with existing SuiteScript customizations; engage developers or vendors when scripting work is needed.
  • Create and manage SuiteFlow / Workflow Manager automations that reduce manual steps and enforce business rules.
  • Build and maintain custom records, fields, saved searches, and advanced PDF/HTML templates as needed.
  • Evaluate enhancement requests against native NetSuite capabilities and recommend the right-sized solution.

Integrations & Data Management

  • Serve as the business-side point of contact for NetSuite integrations with other internal systems; triage issues and coordinate with IT or vendors on resolution.
  • Troubleshoot integration errors and data discrepancies; partner with vendors or IT to resolve root causes.
  • Lead or support data migrations - scoping, mapping, validating, and importing data between systems with accuracy and auditability.
  • Monitor data quality and implement governance practices to keep NetSuite records accurate and trustworthy.

Financial Process and System Improvement

  • Partner with Accounting and Finance to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable NetSuite solutions.
  • Improve workflows across areas such as order-to-cash, revenue recognition, billing, fixed assets, procure-to-pay, intercompany activity, and financial reporting.
  • Create or improve workflows, reports, saved searches, dashboards, and system controls.
  • Evaluate enhancement requests and recommend the most effective solution using native NetSuite functionality, workflow automation, integration, or customization.
  • Train users and develop documentation that supports consistent, controlled system use.
Leadership and Team Culture

You will report directly to the VP of IT and work closely with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Internal Audit, and other IT team members.

This is an individual-contributor role with significant ownership. You will be expected to independently manage the NetSuite environment, identify risks, recommend improvements, and lead projects through completion.

The team values sound judgment, proactive communication, thoughtful system design, strong documentation, and solutions that are both practical and sustainable.

Where is the role located?

This role is based out of Evolv HQ in Waltham, Massachusetts. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 3 days per week on-site.
