Job Description:

Meade is seeking a Revenue Operations Accounting Manager to oversee our billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions while helping modernize and scale our financial operations. This role is responsible for ensuring billing accuracy, strong collections discipline, and efficient vendor payment processes, while also driving process improvements and automation as the company grows.

This position will initially manage core billing, collections, and payables activities associated with project-based engineering work. Over time, the role will evolve to focus on improving revenue operations, enhancing financial visibility across projects, and supporting system-driven billing processes as we implement a new ERP platform and further integrate our project management systems.

The Manager will work closely with Finance, Engineering, Project Management, and Operations to improve the efficiency and reliability of our billing and revenue workflows. The role requires someone who is comfortable operating in a hands-on environment today while helping design more scalable and automated processes for the future.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys both operational ownership and process improvement, and who wants to help build the next generation of finance operations in a growing engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership (Short Term)

Oversee billing operations, including progress or milestone billing for engineering projects

Manage accounts receivable collections and customer communication

Oversee accounts payable processing and vendor payment cycles

Partner with project managers and engineering teams to ensure billing accuracy

Maintain billing schedules and monitor project-based invoicing

Revenue Operations & Financial Insights (Medium Term)

Produce revenue analytics including backlog, unbilled revenue, billing velocity, and DSO metrics

Provide forward-looking revenue insights based on project milestone progression

Partner with Finance and Operations to improve revenue forecasting accuracy

Monitor project profitability and billing realization

Systems & Process Improvement (Long Term)

Lead automation initiatives related to billing and collections

Support ERP implementation and integration with project management systems such as ClickUp

Design milestone billing structures aligned with project workflows

Develop scalable processes for revenue tracking and working capital management

Reduce manual intervention through system-driven billing triggers

Cross-Functional Partnership

Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Sales, and Project Management

Help align project execution data with financial reporting

Improve data governance around project progress and billing

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field

6+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or revenue operations roles

Experience supporting project-based or professional services billing environments

Strong understanding of billing workflows, collections processes, and vendor payment cycles

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, engineers, and finance teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvements

Experience supervising or coordinating the work of others and supporting team development

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting systems (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with project-based billing models such as progress billing, milestone billing, or AIA billing

Familiarity with project accounting concepts, including WIP reporting, backlog tracking, and unbilled revenue

Experience supporting ERP implementations or system integrations

Exposure to engineering, construction, consulting, or professional services environments

Experience developing billing or revenue reporting dashboards

Experience improving financial workflows through automation or process redesign

Familiarity with project management or workflow systems such as ClickUp or similar tools

Experience supporting financial controls, internal audits, or compliance initiatives
