Job description

Who We Are:

At Emburse, you'll not just imagine the future - you'll build it. As a leader in travel and expense solutions, we are creating a future where technology drives business value and inspires extraordinary results. Our AI-powered platform helps organizations modernize financial operations, increase visibility, and optimize spend across the enterprise.

Emburse is seeking a Senior NetSuite Administrator to serve as the lead authority on NetSuite architecture, governance, and optimization across the enterprise. This role owns the overall design, configuration, and roadmap for NetSuite, ensuring Finance and Accounting processes are scalable, automated, and audit-ready.

Working closely with Finance, Accounting, and Business Systems leadership, the Senior Administrator will architect solutions that streamline financial operations, strengthen data integrity, and support growth through automation and integration across Salesforce, BillingPlatform, and the Data Warehouse.

This position plays a critical role in advancing Emburse's quote-to-cash and record-to-report systems foundation while reducing reliance on third-party contractors through in-house expertise and sustainable system ownership.

This role will initially be remote, but would be hybrid 3 days a week to a Boston/Burlington office once one is opened.
What You'll Do:
  • Serve as primary system owner for NetSuite, overseeing configuration, governance, and integration strategy.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting leaders to define the NetSuite roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy and scalability needs.
  • Architect and implement end-to-end solutions across GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Procurement, and Revenue modules.
  • Lead design and rollout of advanced NetSuite capabilities (e.g., ARM, OneWorld, SuiteBilling) to support Emburse's multi-entity and subscription business model.
  • Establish and enforce development, testing, and change management standards for all NetSuite enhancements.
  • Oversee integrations with Salesforce, BillingPlatform, and Snowflake to maintain seamless data flow and process alignment.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improving accuracy, efficiency, and auditability.
  •  Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with SOX and internal control requirements.
  •  Mentor and guide junior admins and offshore resources; manage vendor or contractor contributions where applicable.
  •  Collaborate cross-functionally on enterprise data governance, ensuring NetSuite serves as a trusted financial system of record.

What We're Looking For:
  • 7+ years of NetSuite administration and development experience, preferably in a SaaS or multi-entity environment.
  • Deep understanding of NetSuite modules for financials, revenue management, and intercompany accounting.
  • Proficiency in SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and SuiteAnalytics highly preferred.
  • Experience designing and managing integrations between NetSuite, Salesforce, and billing systems.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles, revenue recognition, and financial close processes.
  • Proven ability to lead roadmap development and system governance practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
Why Emburse?
