Job description

Our client, located in San Jose, CA, is currently in need of a Sr NetApp Storage Consultant for a 22 month contract. The consultant will work onsite 3 days per week in support of NetApp storage design and deployment across the NetApp product line. This resource will serve as a technical authority for the design, support, and optimization of enterprise NetApp environments.
Responsibilities:
  • The role requires deep hands-on expertise in NetApp ONTAP, NFS and CIFS/SMB protocols, and strong understanding of storage?centric networking concepts.
  • The resource will lead advanced troubleshooting and performance analysis, resolving complex, high?impact issues and driving system stability and efficiency.
  • The resource will also plan and execute storage and data migrations, including assessment, execution, validation, and rollback planning, with a strong focus on risk identification and mitigation to minimize business disruption.

Required Skills:
  • Ability to work on a W2 basis
  • Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in San Jose, CA
  • NetApp storage design and planning experience
  • SME level OnTap knowledge
  • Strong communication and consulting skills are essential, as this individual will engage with technical teams and business stakeholders, explain complex technical issues clearly, and provide architectural guidance and documentation.
