Overview:
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced GSW - PSA Engineer - Network Transmission to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, customizing, implementing, and supporting Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Transmission EMS solutions for electric power utilities. This role requires strong technical expertise in real-time, mission-critical systems and hands-on experience with SCADA, DMS, EMS, and related transmission technologies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, customize, and deliver Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Transmission EMS for electric utilities.
  • Implement and support Electric SCADA and Power DMS solutions.
  • Perform installation, configuration, and patch management on Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Manage and optimize databases (SQL/Oracle) and perform shell scripting, log analysis, and debugging.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real-time, mission-critical systems.
  • Install and verify software fixes and upgrades on live customer environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of EMS/SCADA solutions.
  • Maintain source control and configuration management using GitHub, ClearCase and similar tools.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and compliance with industry best practices.
Essential Skills
  • Strong experience in Energy Management Systems (EMS), Transmission EMS, and SCADA implementations.
  • Proven expertise as a PSA Engineer in network transmission and real-time systems.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Linux & Windows OS administration.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Desirable Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in EMS development and customization for electric utilities.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Full Stack Java, OOPS concepts.
  • Experience with SQL/Oracle databases, shell scripting, system logs, and debugging tools.
  • Hands-on knowledge of AEMS product design & development.
  • Experience installing and configuring Oracle, NetApp, and third-party software.
  • Familiarity with GitHub, ClearCase, and configuration management systems.
  • 5+ years of experience with real-time or mission-critical systems.
  • Track record of successfully implementing fixes in live customer systems without downtime.
