As Field service Technician you'd be working under the Power Solutions Group branch of Sunbelt Solomon supporting our customers by inspecting, testing, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical power distribution equipment. You'll work hands-on with a wide range of systems, deliver exceptional service, and be a trusted resource in the field representing Sunbelt Solomon.
What You'll Do
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low, medium, and high-voltage electrical distribution equipment.
  • Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
  • Respond to customer needs, including occasional emergency calls with professionalism and urgency.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by following company and customer safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
  • Properly manage, check in/out, and care for company tools and test equipment.
  • Travel locally and regionally, with periodic overnight assignments.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate degree in electrical trades preferred.
  • NETA certification preferred; will substitute 3+ years of relevant work experience on commercial or industrial electrical projects
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and control schematics.
  • Skilled in the use of industrial electrical test equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet background and drug-screen requirements.
  • Physical capability to work outdoors, lift up to 75 lbs., operate tools, and use required PPE (arc-flash gear, fall protection, respirators, etc.).
  • Eligibility to work in the US without need for employer sponsored VISA (work permit)
