Job Title: In-House Technician

Location: Steamboat

Terms: Seasonal, full and part time roles available

Pay: $20/hour base wage, plus tips.

Requirements:

Expect weekend and holiday work. Daily operations broken into morning, evening, or split shifts. Previous hospitality experience preferred, not required!

About the role:

In House technicians are the face of Ski Butlers at our on-site Gravity Haus locations in Breckenridge, Vail, Steamboat and Jackson Hole. This role aims to provide a seamless experience for all hotel guests using the hotel's skier services. From arrival to departure, technicians' roles include welcoming guests to the resort, outfitting them with ski and snowboard gear for their vacation, providing retail recommendations, and working with the Gravity Haus team to create personal hospitality experience unlike any other.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Uphold brand standards through exceptional customer service while meeting our Key Customer Requirements:

  • KCR #1: On Time - arriving within 5 minutes of the agreed upon time

  • KCR #2: Communication - setting clear expectations around the entire scope of service

  • KCR #3: Equipment - choosing the right equipment for each guest given their skills and current conditions at the resort

  • Provide timely, accurate placement and retrieval of guest's skis and other related stored equipment

  • Support: assist guests with fitting and adjusting Ski Butlers equipment as needed

  • Providing retail recommendations and upselling when appropriate to ensure the guest has everything they need to enjoy their ski vacation.

  • Assist guests with relevant information regarding resort operations, meeting areas, on-site hotel amenities, transportation and local mountain town knowledge

  • Setting up the next shift and future team members for success

  • Enhance the overall skier experience

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Basic ski/snowboard tuning, waxing and general equipment maintenance

  • Making/Answering customer phone calls and face-to-face questions with a positive and inviting tone of voice

  • Anticipating guest needs

  • Snow removal

  • Re-stock amenities, retail items, and rental gear as needed

  • Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment
