The Architecture Senior Advisor (Cloud Platform) is a senior technical role. This person designs and supports a secure cloud platform using AWS. They lead technical teams, guide best practices, and help build reliable systems that support our business and provider technology needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build a secure AWS cloud platform using company standards and best practices
  • Act as a technical leader and guide IT and delivery teams
  • Help move systems to the cloud and improve automation
  • Set technical standards and support shared cloud services
  • Lead performance improvement and system stability efforts
  • Create and maintain product and software roadmaps
  • Provide technical leadership for provider technology solutions
  • Design end-to-end solutions that reuse existing IT systems when possible
  • Work closely with business partners to meet new business and compliance needs
  • Partner with multiple IT teams to ensure shared understanding of business goals
  • Support development teams by sharing technical knowledge and new tools
  • Define system performance, security, and reliability requirements
  • Work with architecture and cloud teams to plan and deliver new capabilities
  • Participate in planning sessions, system demos, and reviews as needed
  • Keep architecture decisions and plans updated in Confluence
  • Create and maintain best practices and processes for the architecture team

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with many teams
  • 9+ years of related experience, or a master's degree with 4+ years of experience
  • Experience working with complex systems, microservices, and cloud platforms
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, EKS, ECS, S3, RDS, and more
  • Experience designing secure systems using frameworks like AWS Well-Architected
  • Knowledge of programming tools and platforms such as Java, Python, Node.js, and MongoDB
  • Experience with data integration, streaming, and batch processing
  • Experience building and scaling large databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Experience with building Agentic flows using Bedrock, OpenAPI, Lang chain, Lang graph.
  • Experience working with containers like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience using tools such as Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions
  • Understanding of security concepts such as encryption and identity management
  • Experience moving data from on-premise systems to the cloud
  • Experience across all stages of software development, including design, testing, and support
