POSITION:  Expert Network Engineer

LOCATION: Ft. Meade, Maryland


JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Provides Network support that requires system level design, architecture or enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls (all three supported locations).

(U) Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)
(U) Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices.
(U) Expert level support to include physical installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of network routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices (Cisco- based).
(U) Experienced in system level design and architecture of enterprise security, datacenter virtualization, and CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure.
(U) Expert security enterprise boundary and datacenter architecture and design
(U) Create system diagrams and present high-level presentations to management. Experienced in packet capture software.

LCAT QUALIFICATIONS: 
CERTIFICATION:  DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
EXPERIENCE: 
Bachelor's degree + 10 years minimum experience, OR
No Degree + 15 years minimum experience, OR

Ten (10) years demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection. 
Must have datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks.
Five (5) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

NOTE:  Bachelor's degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
