Job description

Job Summary:
SpaceX is a company focused on developing technologies to enable human life on Mars. The AV Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining innovative audio-visual systems to enhance collaboration and event experiences at SpaceX.
Responsibilities:
• Engineer unique AV solutions:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement unique AV solutions that meet the specific needs of our spaces and events.
• Stay up to date with the latest AV technologies to ensure our solutions are innovative, reliable and user-friendly.
• Build amazing spaces:
• Work closely with our construction, Spaceport and design teams to create immersive and engaging spaces that showcase our brand and culture.
• Ensure our spaces are outfitted with state-of-the-art AV systems that support collaboration, productivity and creativity.
• Support events:
• Provide technical expertise and support for SpaceX and Spaceport events, including Starship launches, village gatherings, concerts and other high-profile events.
• Ensure seamless execution of AV systems, lighting, and automation to create kick-ass event experiences.
Qualifications:
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of professional experience building, deploying, and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, software, and IP networks within a mid to large enterprise environment for AV support.
• Q-SYS Level 1 Certification.
• Must be physically fit enough to regularly lift up to 30 lbs. for duties such as delivering computers, unpacking and rack-mounting equipment, etc.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Must be willing to travel (<20%).
• Must be flexible to work various shift patterns (i.e. early morning to afternoon, or afternoon to later evening).
• Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg.
• To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Preferred:
• Experience working with construction CAD drawings, Power/Data line drawings, signal flow, AV concepts.
• Q-SYS Level 2 and Control Certifications.
• Experience with Dante and AES67 protocols.
• Comprehensive knowledge of state-of-the-art technology and industry standards for a broad range of live show and installed AV systems, including audio, video, broadcast, lighting, lasers and facility infrastructure.
• Experience deploying SACN and Art-Net lighting control systems.
• LED wall installation experience.
• Experience splicing and terminating various cable types.
• Experience with sound and acoustic design/engineering.
• Expertise in customer service, problem solving and teamwork abilities.
• Working knowledge of video conferencing solutions and support.
