What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position?

As a Software Engineer you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and services. Design, develop, and maintain databases. Gather requirements and write user stories and acceptance criteria. Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as stand up and sprint planning meetings. Additionally, you’ll partner with other technologists to deliver features and capabilities. This role will help design, develop, and maintain the United Strategic Platform (formerly known as Polaris) for UnitedHealthcare. In particular, the medical, pharmacy and specialty benefit plan management capabilities that aim to provide consistent and accurate plan data throughout the plan conception, filing, configuration and implementation cycles.

What does the ideal candidate background look like? We require three .NET and three Java Software Engineers, with no less than three Years of software development experience in an enterprise environment.

What skills/attributes are required?

  • 3 Years of.NET Development Experience (.NET Framework or.NET CORE) or 3 Years of Java Development Experience
  • 3 Years of Microservice/RESTful API Experience
  • 3 Years of SQL Database Experience
  • 2 Years of Angular, JavaScript (ES6), HTML, and CSS Experience
  • 1 Years of Agile Experience

What skills/attributes are preferred?

Health Insurance Experience

Proficient with Postman, Microsoft SQL Server, Swagger UI, Twitter Bootstrap, Broadcom Rally, GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, VMware vRealize, AWS S3 Storage, and Microsoft Office 365.
