Canadian Energy is a well-established, successful, and rapidly growing stored and renewable energy company with locations across Canada. Proudly Canadian-owned and operated, we partner with Canadian businesses to power operations with dependable energy solutions. We provide our customer's solutions in the form of batteries, stored energy, DC power conversion, and renewable energy solutions throughout Canada and all over the world.
Our dedicated employees embody our core values: Honest, Humble, and Hungry. Canadian Energy is 100% Canadian, 100% committed, always. Read about our story here: Canadian Energy- Our Story

About the position:

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue across Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Aftermarket distribution channels in the commercial, industrial, and automotive battery and accessories market. This is an outside sales position requiring frequent travel within the assigned territory to meet with customers, prospects, distributors, and industry partners. The role will involve a combination of account management and business development: the Territory Sales Manager will pursue net-new OEM factory-fit contracts while simultaneously growing and protecting an existing book of business through strategic account development.

In this position, you are not simply a vendor. You are a trusted sales professional who diagnoses customer requirements, designs the right battery solution for every application and owns the sales outcome from first contact to closed decision. If you are self-motivated, results driven, and energized by achieving business growth targets- apply to join our team today!
As a Canadian Energy team member, a typical week will include the following:

Strategic Business Development (Hunter)

  • Identify, target, and secure net-new customers across both OEM (manufacturers) and Aftermarket (parts distributors, service networks, and dealerships) segments.
  • Lead prospects through the complete pursuit cycle - from initial outreach and qualification to a concrete Sales Decision.
  • Conduct application-based solution design consultations with engineering and procurement teams, positioning the right product for each specific customer requirement.

Account Growth & Retention (Farmer)

  • Grow the current Book of Business by proactively identifying New Business Opportunities - including line conversions, product category expansions, and accessory attach rates within existing accounts.
  • Conduct structured, high-value in-person Strategic Consultations that assess five key pillars: Customer Business Health, Product Performance, Service & Delivery Satisfaction, Areas for Improvement, and New Growth Opportunities.
  • Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers at each account, positioning yourself as an indispensable solutions partner rather than a transactional supplier.

The Location:

Your territory will encompass Sudbury and surrounding areas in Northern Ontario, with some longer trips being required periodically.

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of field sales experience in technical sales within the battery, automotive, or industrial machinery sector.
  • Demonstrated experience navigating both OEM procurement cycles and Aftermarket distribution networks.
  • Prior experience using enterprise-grade CRM platforms.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, including the ability to deliver in-person proposals to executive and technical decision-makers.
  • Strong understanding of battery product categories including SLI, AGM, Dry Cell, and Powersport applications.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory for face-to-face client engagement.

Compensation:

  • $50,000 - $100,000 base salary.
  • Bonus structure; the more you sell, the more you earn.
  • Relevant job training.
  • Health and Dental Benefits.
  • Monthly exercise reimbursement program.
  • An opportunity to be part of a 100% Canadian owned + operated company!
