Job description

Position Title: Private Banking Credit Specialist (Contractor)
Location: Miami, Florida (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 month Contract
Start Date: Immediate
We are seeking an experienced Private Banking Credit Specialist to support a high-performing private banking and wealth management team in Miami. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong credit underwriting and portfolio management expertise who can contribute immediately in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, structure, and underwrite credit facilities for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Prepare detailed credit memorandums, financial analyses, and risk assessments.
  • Review personal and business financial statements, tax returns, liquidity positions, and collateral structures.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers, Private Bankers, and Risk teams to deliver tailored lending solutions.
  • Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify emerging risks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support loan renewals, modifications, and annual credit reviews.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide credit expertise throughout the lending process.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Private Banking Credit, Wealth Management Credit, Commercial Credit, or Lending.
  • Strong knowledge of credit underwriting principles, risk analysis, and loan structuring.
  • Experience working with High-Net-Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) clients.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial statements and borrowing structures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (required).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Available to start immediately.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with securities-based lending, residential real estate lending, and bespoke credit solutions.
  • Prior experience within international, private, or wealth management banking environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
Work Arrangement
  • Hybrid role based in Miami, FL
  • Combination of on-site and remote work schedule.
  • Contractor/consultant engagement.
