What is a net contract?

Net Contracts are agreements, typically used in business or real estate, where the tenant or client is responsible for paying certain expenses in addition to rent or service fees. These expenses can include property taxes, insurance, and maintenance costs. Net contracts are common in commercial leasing, with variations such as single net, double net, or triple net leases depending on which expenses the tenant must cover. Job description

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Every member of our Madrigal team is connected by our shared purpose: leading the fight against MASH. Madrigalโ€™s medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-ฮฒ agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c). Our success is driven by our people. We are building a dynamic, inclusive, and high-performing culture that values scientific excellence, operational rigor, and collaboration. To support our continued growth, we are strengthening our workforce strategy to ensure we have the right talent, at the right time, in the right way.

The role will be supported by a team of FTE and vendor analytics professionals and serves as a senior thought partner to Commercial leadership on questions where access, channel, and account dynamics intersect. This individual is both a strategic leader and a hands-on problem solver, comfortable shaping the analytic vision while remaining close to the underlying data.

Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end analytics agenda across market access (payer/formulary), trade & channel, and IDN/institutional customer segments for the MASH portfolio.
  • Partner with Market Access, Trade & Channel, and Key Account Management leadership to translate business questions into a prioritized analytics roadmap.
  • Direct the build-out of analytics capability to understand payer access, perform trade-off analyses, and drive the pull through of existing access through use of varying data assets (SP data, claims, formulary, etc.)
  • Lead distribution and specialty pharmacy analytics, including inventory visibility, dispense and time-to-therapy metrics, service-level tracking, and partner scorecards; support specialty pharmacy and distributor QBRs.
  • Develop IDN and institutional account analytics to support account segmentation, targeting, and pull-through in GPO, IDN, and limited-distribution settings.
  • Leverage analytical use cases across all market access functions and business processes to identify and co-lead build out of advanced analytics & AI capabilities with Commercial Advanced Analytics and our IT AI team.
  • Support the build out of data quality and governance standards for third-party data sources, including claims, specialty pharmacy, distributor 852/867 and 3PL data.
  • Serve as a senior analytics partner in payer contracting, pricing strategy, and channel strategy discussions, and communicate insights and recommendations to senior Commercial and cross-functional leadership.
  • Manage a team of analysts, both internal FTEs and vendors; set goals, manage performance, and coach.
Qualifications
  • Typical Degree & Years of Experience Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech commercial analytics, with direct experience leading market access, trade, or channel analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience building, leading, and developing analytics teams.
  • Hands-on experience with pharma-specific data sources such as claims, specialty pharmacy data, distributor 852/867 data, and syndicated data (e.g., PurpleLabs, IQVIA, Symphony, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of gross-to-net, contract, and rebate analytics and the platforms that support them (e.g., IntegriChain, MMIT).
  • Preferred Experience supporting specialty or rare disease brands, ideally in a launch or earlyโ€‘commercialization environment.
  • Direct experience with market access advanced analytics (provider control, payer share shift, etc.)
  • Direct experience with IDN, GPO, or institutional/limited-distribution account analytics.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks and with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled or agentic analytics tools in a commercial pharma setting.
Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into a structured, prioritized analytics agenda.
  • Strong executive communication and cross-functional influence with access, channel, and account stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating fluidly between strategic framing and detailed, hands-on analysis.
  • Proven people leadership, coaching, and team development.
