Job description

Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst (SaaS)
Location: Fully Remote (U.S.)
Job Type: 12-Month W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $60.00-$70.00/hour (Depending on Experience)

Russell Tobin is partnering with an innovative, rapidly growing technology company to hire experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Analysts. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing Finance organization supporting a fast-paced, high-growth business while working 100% remotely.

We're looking for professionals who thrive in high-volume environments, work independently with minimal supervision, and bring strong expertise in B2B accounts receivable operations, collections, and modern AR automation platforms.

Position Overview

As a Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst, you will manage a portfolio of customer accounts while driving collections, cash application, dispute resolution, and reporting activities that directly support the company's financial health and cash flow. This role requires someone who is analytical, customer-focused, highly organized, and comfortable working in a dynamic, rapidly scaling environment.

Key Responsibilities

Collections & Accounts Management

  • Manage end-to-end collections activities for a high-volume B2B customer portfolio.
  • Execute collection strategies utilizing established dunning schedules and escalation procedures.
  • Proactively communicate with customers via phone, email, and virtual meetings to secure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on account risk and outstanding balances.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions within the ERP or collections platform.
  • Identify at-risk accounts and partner with leadership on appropriate action plans.

Customer Communication & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer billing and payment inquiries.
  • Resolve questions related to invoices, payment terms, account balances, and payment methods.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Billing, and other cross-functional teams to resolve complex customer issues.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships while achieving collection goals.

Cash Application & Account Reconciliation

  • Process and apply customer payments accurately across multiple payment channels.
  • Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and payment discrepancies.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and investigate account variances.
  • Coordinate with banking partners to resolve payment processing issues.

Dispute Resolution

  • Investigate and resolve billing disputes through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Process credit memos, account adjustments, and refunds in accordance with company policy.
  • Track dispute trends and recommend process improvements that enhance billing accuracy.
  • Maintain complete documentation throughout the dispute resolution process.

Reporting & Financial Support

  • Prepare weekly and monthly accounts receivable aging reports and collection metrics.
  • Support cash forecasting by providing collection projections.
  • Analyze AR trends and customer payment behavior to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and ad hoc reporting requests.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Accounts Receivable, B2B Collections, or related Finance experience within a SaaS or technology company.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume customer portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of collections, cash application, account reconciliations, and dispute resolution.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as Workday, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience using AR automation platforms such as Tesorio, HighRadius, Billtrust, Growfin, Sidetrade, or similar.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with experience working directly with business customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting SaaS or subscription-based businesses.
  • Experience contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with credit risk assessment and credit management practices.
  • Experience working within rapidly growing or hypergrowth organizations.
  • Bilingual language skills are a plus.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is currently working as a Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst, Senior Collections Specialist, Accounts Receivable Specialist, or Accounts Receivable Supervisor with experience owning a high-volume B2B portfolio. They are comfortable working autonomously, can quickly adapt to new systems and processes, and possess strong technical skills across ERP systems, AR automation platforms, and Excel.

Please Note: Candidates should have hands-on experience with the ERP systems, collections automation platforms, and Excel functions listed on their resume. Technical proficiency will be discussed during the interview process.

If you're looking for an opportunity to make an immediate impact within a fast-growing technology company while working remotely, we'd love to hear from you.
